General Membership Information

Want to learn to make beautiful jewelry? 

It’s the perfect time to join Beaders Club.  We enjoy bead stringing, kumihimo, bead embroidery, wire work, viking knit and much more.  We offer classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced beaders. 

Classes are offered year-round. Our format is open beading, come and go as you would like.

We meet   Mondays 6 – 9 pm in the KIVA ROOM,

Wednesdays 10 – 4 pm in the MESA ROOM

and Thursdays 10 am – 4 pm in the KIVA ROOM.

Camaraderie and friendship with other beaders is one of the most significant benefits of being a member. However, there is a lot to participate in. Membership can mean a little or a lot to the individual member. Here are some of the benefits of being a member:

New Members

New members must have a current Recreation Card

 

  • Annual dues are $5.00 per year for 2022
  • ID Badge is $7.00 (required)
  • Beginner’s Kit is $7.00 (optional)

Membership Renewals

 

  • Must have a current Recreation Card
  • Annual dues are $5.00 per year, for 2022 renewing members
  • Renew in person, providing your Rec Card for scanning

All dues are paid by check only. The SCW Beaders Club does not take cash or credit cards.

Meetings

Board Meetings

Board meetings are usually the 2nd Monday of each month.  However, please check the club calendar as meetings may be rescheduled or cancelled.  

General Meetings

Please check our club calendar for scheduled general meeting

Activities

Club activitites include:  Classes, Community, Car Pool Options, Club Garage Sales, Field Trips, Annual Holiday Party, Annual Picnic, annual Tucson Bus Trip. 

Use of Library

Library books and magazines are not allowed to leave the club room. Members can check out a book while at the club by completing the sign-out form located at the monitor’s desk, indicating the title of the book. The member must leave their driver’s license or recreation center card with the monitor while they look at the book or publication. When the book is returned, the monitor will return the driver’s license or recreation center card to the member.
